SELF CONSUMPTION

           


There are many forms of consumption. Long time ago, the economy in farms was based on self-consumption of subsistence products from the fields around the house. Nowadays, we could talk about different forms of self-consumption. Some examples in industry are the heat consumption from electric motors for overheating in food industry, the recycling of frying oils to make biodiesel that can used for cars, or the heating consumption of biogas made from animal manure from a farm.

In the photovoltaic field, we all are waiting for the desired Net Metering that will regulate the photovoltaic household consumption.

Net Balance and Self-consumption is not the same: Net Balance is an agreement on the bill regulating the electric power generation at home and there isn't an unique formula. The idea should be that If the generation>consumer demand, the customer “exports” energy to the net. If consumption demand> generation, then the customer “takes” energy from the net.

The net balance is a compensation between billing periods and regularly puts the credit account to zero. Consumption usually refers to instantaneous consumption, etc. The self-consumption and can be carried out, but according to the rules of Net Assessment will measure the system according to consumption.
